Time did fly, this was already the forth junior tennis game for SUNNY TENNIS. We were so lucky every time we held a tennis game, the sky was always clear, especially during this raining season. We greeted all our young players and their parents at Tianmu Sports Park tennis court. Everyone came well-prepared and energetic. 

Mini tennis is designed for players of young age. Using a shorter racket, bigger and lighter tennis ball, smaller tennis court, children can also enjoy playing tennis like adults.

This year, we made a small adjustment to the age of different groups of the participants. The game was still divided into 3 age groups like last year:

1. U6 group, 4-6 year-old: (Those who are born after May 25 2012 sign up for this group)
2. U8 group, 7-8 year-old: (Those who were born after May 25 2010 sign up for this group)
3. U10 group, 9-10 year-old: (Those who were born after May 25 2008 , sign up for this group)

Susan, a mom of the U8 group player said: “Thanks SUNNY TENNIS for holding such a wonderful game for all kids. My daughter became very positive and proactive everyday because she was looking forward to this game. She wanted to do well so she spent more time practicing with her coach. I’m so glad to see this change in her. She really enjoys playing tennis.” We were truly happy to hear that from the parent. Happy kid, happy family!

Besides the keen competition between young players, there was fun tennis activity for all participants. Of course, SUNNY Lucky Draw and fun games are always our best tradition right next to the tennis court. We were happy to entertain everyone. Seeing the smile on kids face is just priceless. In the middle of the competition, there was the coach’s performance game. All the participants were excited to see such a fast-paced and advanced game.

More and more young players join our game every year, that’s why we moved to a bigger court to hold the match. Next year, we are sure to see even more young athletes on the court!

After a long but happy day, everyone seemed a bit exhausted but content. This is the best result for us as coach and staff. This tennis game is not just a fierce competition, it’s also the best way to make a breakthrough for all players. And it’s a perfect occasion to create family bonds. We hope to promote tennis to children all over Taiwan, not every sport is designed and suitable for children. Children can start playing mini tennis at the age of 4. The more exercise children do, the taller, healthier and happier they become. Let’s all play tennis and look forward to our junior tennis game next year!

Beautiful trophies are waiting for the winners.

It was a beautiful and sunny day at Rainbow riverside park hard tennis court, everyone was well-prepared for the game.  All 12 courts were full of people cheering for their teammates. 

Arthur, one of the member from the dentist tennis club said: “Because of my tight schedule, I  didn’t have much chance to play tennis with people from other folks of life. This time, thanks to SUNNY TENNIS, my teammate and I can team up and practice together to play with other teams. It was really an opportunity for me to bond with my teammates and also improve my tennis skill. I love tennis! ”

Jason, one of our SUNNY student said: “It’s difficult to meet new people due to my busy work schedule, I’m really glad I joined SUNNY TENNIS to learn to play tennis. I get to meet new friends and exercise at the same time. Today I can even be part of my tennis team to compete with others, that’s just amazing to me. Hope I can go home with the trophy. “On the side of the court, we organized tennis fun game for players to take a break and win coupon and gifts.

Rick Lin, the Head of of SUNNY TENNIS said: “We were thrilled by the positive response from our students and all the tennis club that participated our game last year. This is the third time we held a mini tennis game for children. More and more players signed up for the game this year. On this beautiful sunny day, we greeted all players and their parents at XinSheng Sport park. Today, every participant spent their best time on the tennis court together. 

Mini tennis is designed for players of young age. Using a shorter racket, bigger and lighter tennis ball, smaller tennis court, children can also enjoy playing tennis like adults.

This year, we made a small adjustment to the game according to our past experience. The game was divided into 3 age groups:

1. U6 group (4-7 year-old): (Those born after September 16, 2010 can sign up for this group)
2. U8 group (8-9 year-old):  (Those born after September 16, 2008 can sign up for this group)
3. U10 group (10-11 year-old): (Those born after September 16, 2006 can sign up for this group)

In order to give children more opportunities to play, each group applied a group cycle. This way, each player could play at least 2-3 games.

Ethan, aged 8, a SUNNY TENNIS student said: “I didn’t get any points at the tennis game last year. But I didn’t give up playing tennis because of that. I not only take tennis lessons every weekend, but also practice with daddy at home. So this year I won my one game in the first round. I’m so happy about the result.”

Every young player was concentrate and never give up any point.

Win or lose, the most important part for kids is to have FUN! Making friends to play tennis with is even better.

Next to the tennis court, fun time!!! We designed some fun games for all parents to play with their children. Now is the kids’ group, they are passing the ball by order, see who can do it the fastest. In the middle of the competition, there was the coach’s performance game. This year SUNNY TENNIS held a game not only for our students, but also welcomed all tennis player. We were surprised by how fast the spots were filled up. This year, 33 teams participated the game, the number went double compare with last year. We were so pleased by the recognition of the public. 

Besides teams from SUNNY TENNIS students, many tennis club joined this keen competition held at Rainbow riverside park hard tennis court. Playing at this court was very enjoyable because of the view by the river. You even got to see the tallest building of Taiwan: Taipei 101 from here. Such a nice game experience. 

Steven, one of our SUNNY TENNIS student said: “At first I was quite intimidating about playing the match with player from outside of SUNNY. They seemed very professional. I’m just a amature player, I’m not sure if I can beat them. Then after this game I realized that it was not just about winning. Learning from others was all about. I’m so glad I signed up for this game, even though our team lost, I learned some great lesson from other strong players.”

This is the second time we held a mini tennis game for children. From our wonderful experience last year, we felt the energy of all participants again today.

This game was divided into 2 age groups of 5-8 year-old and 9-11 year-old. In order to give children more opportunities to play, each group applied a group cycle. This way, each player could play at least 2-3 games. Rick Lin, founder of SUNNY TENNIS said,: “This event is more educational than winning or losing the game. The goal is to make children play tennis happily while learning the rules and etiquette of the game. So no matter what the result is, we will all issue a certificate of completion to the children to encourage them! ”

Lucas, aged 6, a SUNNY TENNIS student said; “This is my first time competing in a tennis game. I didn’t really know about the game rule before. But my coach and my dad explained and practiced with me very patiently. I was so nervous at first, I couldn’t hit back any ball. Then I told myself that I just focus and run. I did some rallies with my opponent later on. Even though I didn’t win, I now know I just have to focus first. Maybe next year I’ll win because I’ll go back and practice more. ”

A day of sunshine, again! We are actually very lucky because every time we held a tennis competition, the rain went away, and the sun came out. It was always a SUNNY day for us. This year at ShuLing clay tennis court, 16 teams participated in our competition.  All our students practiced every weekend together, hoping to win back the title of the championship. Let’s take  a closer look at some brilliant photos of the day.

Players brought out their best on the court. We’ve held the match many time on clay court already. Students are getting more familiar with this type of court now. Even though the dirt on the court might get players a bit dirty after the game. They were still having a good time competing on the court!

Today’s the very first Kid tournament held by HEAD and SUNNY Tennis. HEAD offers the world-class kid tennis racket, tennis facility and sports attire.

Many parents and children from different places participated this match. For most of them, this might be their first time attending a tennis match. Everyone looked excited!

 

Sunny Cup Tournament is an annual match event in SUNNY. This is a tennis carnival that combine group tournament between students,  exhibition, and many fun activities. In this match, all SUNNY students get the chance to actually play in real game and also meet new partners who love tennis, too.  Through this match, we hope to bring joy to everyone. Let’s enjoy tennis together!

16 teams participated in this game,  with more than 150 players, all led by each SUNNY TENNIS coaches. This morning the weather was very good, the warm sun in winter time made this game even better. 

Thanks to the total of 8 clay courts, the game was even smoother than before, the schedule went on as expected. The current schedule was divided the 16 teams into 4 groups of round-robin rounds. The winning team of each group then moved to final. After the last round of battle, the forth place was Team “SUNNY Super”, led by coach Sam Wu. The third place was Team “SUNNY Tianmu Gang”, led by coach Terry Huang. The second place  was “SUNNY Di Renjie”, led by coach Andy Kuo. The Team “SUNNY USA”, led by coach Richard Chiu was the champion of the game for the second time. Congratulations to the winning team. At the same time, we thank all the students for their participation. Because of you, our activities are more and more brilliant!

Besides the tennis game, there was small carnival, tennis racket and ZEPP  racket sensors trial experiences and performance competitions of the coaches. The most important of all, to get to know more people that love tennis. 

Through this activity, all students can examine how their practice bring to life. Promoting tennis is such an amazing thing for SUNNY. I hope every participant can feel the charm of tennis with us. Students, let’s look forward to the next game together!
