BIOGRAPHY

Hello, everyone. I’m Rick, one of the founders of SUNNY TENNIS, really glad to share my coaching experience with you.

It was back in 2002, I was studying and working in high school. At first, I thought giving tennis course was easy for a tennis athlete like me. But I was totally defeated after my first client. I didn’t even know how to explain how our body works when playing. Then I realize to be a tennis coach is not just copying gesture, is a combination of sport science, gesture analysis, way of talking, even psychology.

After that knock-on-the-head experience, I did research on all aspects about tennis, I found that there’s different know-how in adult leisure tennis, kid tennis, athlete training, game planning and class building. I even put tennis coaching in my thesis for master. All these experiences I had helped me improve a lot. I started to see smile on my students face, and I knew I did the right thing and I was ready. In 2011, the year I would always remember, it was then I got more calls for course, more reviews on my website, most importantly, more coaches to join me in SUNNY.

My students often ask me: Rick, you graduated as a Master of MIS, why became a tennis coach? I always reply with a smile: I love coaching tennis more than coding!

I love tennis, and would like to share my tennis coach experince with people. And I believe that power of 10 is much stronger than 1. In SUNNY TENNIS  coach team, everyone possesses different skills and heading to the same goal: to build a better environment for tennis in Taiwan. Hope we can bring you a wonderful tennis experience.
